Cíle předmětu
Objectives: Learners will gain a basic orientation in general issues of lifelong learning and forms of adult education. The student will understand the specifics of adult learners and their determinants and will be able to apply them in the didactic approach to his/her own teaching, in the assessment of adults, in dealing with adult learners. Students will learn the basic concepts of andragogy and gerontopedagogy.
Výstupy z učení
Learners will acquire andragogical knowledge applied to the problems of adult education and understand the specifics of the target group of adults. Learners will deepen didactic problem solving skills.
Osnova
Topics: 1. Lifelong learning and adult education - basic concepts. Disciplines related to adult learning. Functions of adult education in historical development. Qualifications of workers - European Qualifications Framework. 2. Adulthood, its periodization. Adults as a target group of education. Life cycle and its impact on adult education. 3. Determinants of adult education and learning. 4. Specifics of adult learning. Conditions for effective learning. Approaches to learning, motivation and cognitive styles. Barriers to adult learning and education. 5. Pedagogical/didactic principles of adult learning. Learning needs and their identification. Adult learning culture. 6. Types of adult education: vocational, leisure, civic, family. Staff training (corporate training), further training. Systemic approach to continuing education. Specifics of teacher training. 7. Forms of adult education: full-time, combined and distance learning. Individualised learning and teaching (Keller Plan, cooperative teaching). 8. Forms and methods of teaching adults. Lecture. Activating methods. 9. Assessment of adult learning outcomes. Didactic tests. 10. Education of seniors. University of the 3rd Age.
Metody hodnocení
Test. Learners will work on a selected problem in the area of adult education and present it in seminars, create a professional text.
