Prerequisites (in Czech)
At the beginning of the course the students will be at the B2 level in all the areas of the productive as well as receptive language skills and in some areas they will be at C1 level.

Course objectives (in Czech)
To make progress to C1 level. Develop the vocabulary range and grammar. The focus will be on Speaking so that the students develop the right habits, namely in vocabulary and language competence.
Learning outcomes (in Czech)
Students will prove their knowledge of the above-mentioned vocabulary and grammar structures and they will be able to use them effectively in written and spoken communication in English at the level: beginning of C1 level.
Syllabus (in Czech)
Topics: In this course the students will go through the second 6 units (Unit 7 – 12) of the Cambridge English Advanced Result coursebook. Extra materials focusing on enhancing of vocabulary (mainly collocations related to the topics), grammar accuracy and development of speaking will be used, based on the needs of the students. Topics – vocabulary areas: 7. History, 8. Technology, 9. Fiction, 10. Changing places, 11. Art, 12. Adventure Grammar: 7. Reduced clauses, 8. Conditionals, 9. Passives, 10. Emphasis, 11. Modals, 12. Comparatives and Superlatives
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Students will participate actively during the lessons. Their progress will be assessed based on the tasks given in the course of the semester. In order to pass the exam, the student will have to achieve minimum 44% in the final test. The final test is a modified C1 Advanced Cambridge Exam.
