- The student will gain a basic orientation in the field of educational psychology related to adult learning.
- Learning outcomes (in Czech)
- Students will acquire knowledge in the field of educational psychology related to adult learning. They will prove the ability t oapply theoretical knowledge of educational psychology to specific situations in the education of adult students.
- Syllabus (in Czech)
- 1. Definition of the subject - educational psychology. Specifics of adult education. 2. Personality of adult learner. Developmental aspects of adulthood. 3. The teaching profession, demands and dilemmas. The demands of adult education. Teacher’s personality. 4. Cognition – cognition and motivation in the learning process, metacognition. 5. Learning – an overview of learning theories. General learning models. 6. Learning and curriculum from a psychodidactioc point of view. Learning in adulthood – factors affecting it. 7. Pedagogical communication and interaction – classroom management, individual teaching. 8. Socialization, types of socialization, contribution to lifelong learning. 9. Specifics of adult learning and teaching, learning as a lifelong process, self-education. 10. Specific learning disabilities in adulthood, their demands on the psychodidactics of foreign languages.
- Assessment methods (in Czech)
- Test. At least 80% attendance at lectures and seminars. Self-study of compulsory and recommended literature.
