- Prerequisites (in Czech)
- Credit/Pass is awarded for the delivery of 3-4 teaching units to the teaching practice group and for submitting of a portfolio with lesson plans for the taught lessons and post-lesson reflection. The student will reflect on comments made by the supervisor and will act on them in subsequent lessons. Each feedback will conclude with an action plan for further professional development.

- Course objectives (in Czech)
- To introduce the students to the area of the teaching of language systems and provide them with some initial teaching practice (English as a foreign language). Students will work in 4-6 people teams under the supervision of the lecturer (supervisor). The lessons on the same day will be closely connected and will share teaching aims. Following each lesson taught a student will receive written feedback from the supervisor and oral group feedback and evaluative comments during the follow up seminar.
- Learning outcomes (in Czech)
- A student will gain adequate knowledge of teaching techniques and will be able to use them effectively when planning and delivering lessons of English as a foreign language in the context of the specific needs of the teaching practice learners and their levels of competency.
- Syllabus (in Czech)
- 1. Supervised planning of three or four 30-45 minute teaching units focused on the teaching of different language systems (grammar, vocabulary, phonology and functional language). 2. Peer observation of colleagues in the same teaching practice group, 3-4 times. 3. Group feedback, self-reflection, action plan for further development.
